The noun button also can refer to the little round billboards people pin to their clothes to display their favorite political candidate, band, organization, or saying. Button can also be a verb, which describes the act of fastening buttons, like when you button your shirt. Or if you work at an electronics factory, your job might be to button, or attach buttons to, a cell phone.

Nina takes care of our website updates and has heated discussions with Jen about website colours! They met via mutual cat rescue friends and the rest is history. Having come from a cat rescue background, she understands the importance of the work AdvoCATS does to keep pets with their owners and not for the them to end up in rescue. While she understands the concerns of landlords regarding pet damage, she is equally keen that pet owners respect their landlord’s properties and maintain the health of their pets with regular vet visits and flea treatments.

    Founder of AdvoCATS

Jen Berezai has had cats in her life for as long as she can remember, including a little black moggy brought back from Malawi where she lived as a child. She was inspired to set up AdvoCATS from both her work in cat rescue and the negative experiences of friends and family. Jen is very passionate on the subject of pets in lets, and led the Heads for Tails! campaign alongside people and organisations that couldn’t even have been imagined back in 2018. She lives and works in Long Eaton and attributes AdvoCATS’ success to “a brilliant husband, an understanding boss and low housekeeping standards!”

    #HeadsForTails

Heads for Tails! is our ongoing umbrella campaign calling for a simple change in the law to make renting with pets easier and fairer for both landlords AND tenants.

Despite unprecedented support from both the PRS and the animal welfare world, plus cross-party political support, the Labour government, although initially receptive, have decided against allowing landlords to ask for pet damage insurance.
